According to rotary classification
members of rotary are the representatives of their
particular business or profession. This gives Rotarians the
dual responsibility of representing their vocation within
the workplace.
The essence of vocation service is the importance of high
ethical standards in all professions, the importance of all
vocation and the opportunity to contribute Ones vocational
talents to address the problems & the needs of society.
As business leaders Rotarians share their skills and
expertise through share their and expertise through
vocational service, one of the four avenues of service. Our
Vocational service efforts can play a vital role in
improving the quality of Life for those hardworking members
of the community who need Direction & expertise.
PROGRAMMES CONDUCTED UPTO 30/11/06
At
regular meeting on 5th OCT 06, coast guard comm. G.M.
Sreenivas gave a wonderful presentation about the activity
of coast guard in our region. The presentation included the
overall view of coastguard strength in terms of aircraft
numbers & marine vessels. With coast guard the most
interesting part of the presentation was detailed
explanation of search & rescue operations, which contained
the recent operation during Surat floods.

Regular club meeting on 12th Oct 06 Speaker IPP MAJ.S.SHARMA
from R.C.UDHANA spoke on the topic on Indian army & why it’s
the best in the world. The selection process toughest
commando training, experiences, etc has given us a great
insight into the Indian army. He also spoke about his
personal life & impact of his army carrier in his business
of security services.
At regular club meeting on 19th Oct 06 vocational awards were presented
worthy hands of PDG VISHNU PATEL to MR. CHAKKAN SINGH, care
taker at
GNYAN DHAM SCHOOL since last 20 years.

MR. LALCHAND, care taker of VIA ground since last 18 years.
Both were given appreciation certificate and 24-carat gold
coin.


At regular cub meeting on 23rdNov’06, three of our own
member spoke on their vocations.
Rtn. Ketan Patel spoke on his business of manufacture of
acid & trading in iron & steel.
Rtn Hemang Naik spoke on his profession as manager of
logistic dept in multinational company.
Rtn. Subhir Bhattacharya spoke on his business of
manufacturing fire fighting equipments
Rtn. Umesh Sharma spoke on human resource.
• On 30th Nov’06, we are planning for D.G.’s visit to
M/S Guardian plasticote & M/S Shah Paper Mills Ltd.
Project Planned/ intended
• During Feb/Mar’06 we are planning for a seminar on career
guidance & development for students of 10th 11th & 12th
standard, from various schools in & around Vapi.
• We are planning for some more speakers from different
vocation to address our meetings.
