Polio Plus
So far one SNID is executed in this year in which we had adopted 21 booths which were attended and managed by 44 Rotary volunteers achieving 84% of immunization. Total immunization achieved in Vapi was 80% Rotaract club and Inner wheel club of Vapi were also working in hand to hand with us for the same. All the adopted booths were managed and monitored by team of Rotarians from head quarter at Haria Rotary Hospital.


 

Posters and banners were and distributed to boost the activity of immunization and food packets were also distributed to all volunteers.

We are also geared up to achieve more success in the NIDS to come.

Group Study Exchange
We shall be hosting the GSE team coming from Israel from 11th evening till 16th Jan. In which they will be visiting our permanent projected and will plan an industrial visit of their choice.

We shall be sponsoring one candidate for GSE Team member.

International Youth Exchange
We are sponsoring 3 names for the short term youth exchange namely, 1.Ankit Singh 2. Vidushi Gaur 3. Sheena Mehta. We shall be hosting incoming IYE candidates from New Zealand

The Rotary Foundation
Rotary club of Vapi has been very successful in raising funds for Rotary Foundation. We target to achieve $ 100 per Rotarian (EREY) additionally, best efforts to improve foundation giving

Matching Grants
Our matching grant application is processed and approved ($15001) For the wells, tanks and other equipment for the potable water supply system in Kaparada district. Valsad, India. Our matching grant partner is RC Elmira, USA Dist 7120. Our part of contributions already made to The Rotary Foundation and shall be executing the project in this year.


ROTARY CLUB OF VAPI ON FIRST NID DAY, JANUARY, 10TH, 2010

Under the chairman ship of rotarin PP Virendra Gaur, more than 40 rotarians took charge of 27 booths assigned to rotary club of vapi, for immunizing the children in the remote rural suroundings of vapi. The day started at 7.00 am with assembly at haria rotary hospital and all the rotarians with assigned different booths and were given two nursing assitants from nursing college of rofel. Food packets were distributed by rotary club of vapi at 78 booths and more than 8000 children were immunized by the rotarians alone at the assigned booths with average of 99% immunization at all the booths. The district adminstration of valsad and health department appreaciated the efforts of rotary club of vapi and their members.

   
   


ARRIVAL OF ROTARY FRIENDSHIP EXCHANGE TEAM FROM DIST 7670 ON 19TH JAN, 2009


Arrival of Rotary Friendship Exchange team from dist 7670 on 19th jan,2009, first destination was vapi, they were welcomed by dr vikas president and first lady aditi and all the host families. The team was accopanied by rtn bipin chajed who is the rfe co ordinator and the team leader pdg hamp shuford, his wife cathleen and daugter amnada were accopnaied by 7 other members. All were from dist 7670 north carolina and were very happy to receive the tradinational indian stlyle of welcome. The dinner with happy hour were very refresing for them. Other members were billy black, dean and ginger lutz, elizabeth,steve,ann, anne . They were hosted in vapi by rtn bakul shah,rtn swapan das, rtn parag vora, rtn narvir parmar and the leader was staying with the president dr vikas jain.


RFE SPEACIAL CLUB MEETING FAMILY MEETING ON 21ST JANUARY, 2010

RFE speacial club meeting family meeting on 21st january,2010. There were more than 100 members of the club and than their families. The 10 rfe members exchanged the flags of their resp clubs and past dist governor hamp passed message from his dist governor carol king and they all sang songs and narrated about north carolina dist 7670 and make powerpoint presentations. Overall the meeting was well enjoyed by most of the rotarians and their families. All the members of rotary club of vapi who hosted the rfe family had very nice experience of international exchange. The members are still in touch with those families on net and president dr vikas and rtn bakul shah are selected to visit their dist on the rfe tour from rotar y club of vapi.


GSE TEAM FROM ATLANTA CAME TO VAPI ON VOCATIONAL EXCHAGE ON 27TH JAN, 2010

GSE team from atlanta came to vapi on vocational exchage on 27th jan, 2010. Joint meeting was organized along with rotary club of vapi, vapi riverside and vapi west and the meeting was well organized by the chairman Ruchir. President Dr. Vikas exchange flags with the leader Rtn William Blake and three members were hosted by rotary club of vapi. The host families were international director rtn deepen gosrani, PP Rajneesh Anand, and Rtn Bakul Shah. President Dr. Vikas and Rtn Bakul accompanied them to common effluent treament plant visit as part of vocational visit. Rtn Deepen showed them the paper factory.


SECOND NID ON 7TH FEB, 2010

Second NID on 7th feb, 2010 was very succesful as many as 35 rotarians participated under the chairmanship of PP VP Gaur. As many a s 27 booth were handled by all the rotarians the rotarians were supported by the nursing staff of the rofel college and immunization of 99 percent was achived . The local adm were very happy with the efforts of rotary club of vapi on both the nids.
