Environment Project:
25th of July 2008 month our Club held Tree Plantation Program at Rofel Namdha Campus along with 59th Van Mahotasav of Govt. of Gujarat. Hon. Minister of Forest & Environment Shri. Mangubhai Patel along with Minister of Agriculture Shri Dineshbhai Sanghani who is also Prabhari Mantri of Valsad Dist., M.L.A Shri Ramanbhai Patkar, D.S.P Valsad, DYSP Vapi forests officers, Shri R.C.Dare Collector of Valsad, Shri. Jashubhai Patel President of Vapi Nagar Palika, Students & Faculty of our Rofel Arts & Commerce College. And from our Rotary Club President Shri Rtn. Rameshbhai Desai and our Club members also Innerwheel President Smt. IW Maneesha Sharma. It was very successful Tree Plantation Program in drizzling showers. Approximately more than 1000 trees were planted and more than 250 guards were provided.

Fund raising and fellowship :
As in past, we organize in traditional ways , Navratri celebration called THANAGANAT on grand scale for all 10 days where more than 4000 people take active participation daily. This program has given a very positive image in society to the Club and it’s activities.
   


In the year we have planned to raise more than one crore rupees which will be used in community related projects as on date we have already raised Seventy five lacs rupees. Four family meetings with dinner were arranged.

In the month of august we organized a get together in Daman where all the neighboring
Club members, leading citizens and press and media people of Vapi attended and had good interaction for healthy development of society.

On the 1th of November , on the occasion of 70th birthday of our beloved and respected PDG Vishubhai Patel’s birthday, we arranged a get to gather in daman when we invited All the lea ding citizens of vapi along with all the staff members of our own hospital and Colleges and also all the club members with family. On this day, we handed over a cheque of Rs. Twenty five lacs to the trustee of our own hospital for setting up a blood component separation unit in the blood bank..

 We also handed over a cheque of Rs. Ten lacs to Our own Rovadan trust for mobile clinic to be used in interior areas of dang district. This Amount contains a matching grant received from Japan.

On 9th august, in view of devastating floods in Surat city, we called an emergency meeting of the club on a short notice of two hours and collected Rs. 113, 000=00 within next two hours form the members. We have also distributed Rs. 3 lacs worth of medicines for Surat flood relief to our collector.


Blood  Donation: 
We plan to collect 3060 units of blood in the year. As of now, we have collected 847 Unit of  blood by organizing 12 camps at various places. Looking to the past experience we are confident of reaching our target in the months.



 

Eye Donation

This program is running for the last 25 years. Club members who have shouldered the responsibility and are so enthusiastic that without taking care of weather, they reach donor’s house along with medical team in 30 to 45 minutes time after receiving information.

In the year, up till now we were able to collect 27 pairs of eyeballs.

Community development:

In Deep Darshan School, situated in Ahwa, dang district, we distributed uniforms, foot wears notebooks, slates, pencils, erasers, etc in vapi and it’s surroundings, we distributed Notebooks, sates, pencils, erasers, etc in 36 schools.

 

Up till now, in these 36 schools, we have distributed 10000 food packets to the children. In The coming months, we are going to distribute 30000 food packets. Rotaract club and Inner wheel club is joining with us in this project by giving additional 35000 packets.




Community toilet block which we dedicated to the public was constructed in record time
of one month from the date of receiving land from the authorities. During devastating floods in Surat city, we sent items of basic need to the tune of Rs. 113,000=00 through proper channels along with medicines to the tune of Rs. 100,000=00 collected from the pharma companies in vapi.






PRID Kalyandhai and member Rameshbhai Desai donated Rs. 150,000=00 each for maintaining science laboratory for 11th and 12th standard student at Deep Darshan school, Ahwa Dist – Dang. The club has also committed like amount for another two years to the school.

 

Prid Kalyanbhai has donated Rs.15 lacs to our hospital for new operation theatre wing being built.

 

Our member Rameshbhai Desai has donated 10 new computer to PTC college, Vapi.Foundation stone laying ceremony of Smt. Sandraben Shroff college of nursing was performed by Shri Ashokbhai Bhatt, minister of health, Govt. of Gujarat.

Niramay Fund:
Through this fund, we help poor patients admitted in our hospital. So far have utilized Rs.275,000=00 received through donation and expect to receive Rs. 300, 000=00 in the coming months, as per meeting rules, we collect Rs. 200=00 from the members in case of his mobile rings during the meeting and deposit this amount to fund.
